My name is Kerry and I offer a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you can speak freely, explore your thoughts and feelings, and begin to make sense of what may be happening in your life.
Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, loss, low self-esteem, identity concerns, anger or behavioural difficulties, or a difficult life transition including perimenopause or menopause, we can work together to explore not only what is happening now, but how past experiences and relationships may be influencing the way you feel today.
I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and an Accredited Member of the BACP.
I have over 17 years’ experience working therapeutically with adults and couples across the NHS, private practice and a range of clinical settings.
About Me & How I Work
My psychodynamic approach is based on the understanding of how our past experiences influence the way we think, feel and relate to others in the present. I believe that the relationship is at the heart of the therapeutic work. Feeling genuinely heard, understood and accepted within a safe, trusting relationship can itself be a powerful part of change.
My role is not to tell you what to do or to have all the answers. Instead, we work together at a pace that feels right for you, creating the space to explore what really matters to you.
Through greater understanding and self-awareness, you can begin to recognise your own needs, values and beliefs, and feel more able to make choices that are meaningful to you.
